Instructions on How to Send Pictures
Using the Submission Forms

Important Information about Sending a File

Due to requirements beyond our control, the size of a picture file is limited to a maximum size of 145 KB. A file submitted that is larger than 145 KB will prevent the complete form from being forwarded to Trinity and may "lock" the mail server and other email’s be sent to us until the file is manually removed.

I know most likely you won't understand this if I just write it down so I made a picture caption of the item so you know what it will look like. But first I'd like to explain how to find and figure out the size of a file.

The maximum size of a file must not exceed 145 KB (kilobytes) or higher or 148,480 bytes or higher. These are the figures you must look at before you send your file.

The conversion for 145 KB (kilobytes) is 148,480 bytes.

In this tutorial, we will demonstrate what you may need to do to determine the size of the file in order to send (also referred to as "Upload") us a picture file. The MOST important thing is to remember where you save the file at on your computer. The default location is under "My Documents" then "My Pictures". If you create your own folders to store files, then you will have to remember where that folder and pictures are. It will make this process a lot easier.

(Screen views on your computer may differ than what is shown but they all have the same principle.)

  • The first thing you want to do is go to your desk top (the first thing you see after your computer is fully up and running) and look for the icon for "My Documents". Left click on the "My Documents" icon.

  • Now you should see the different sections of your My Documents folder. What you need to find is "My Pictures".

  • Now you will see all of the folders and files in your My Pictures folder. Look for the file you want to forward to us. When you find it, RIGHT Click on the picture.

  • A menu box will pop up. Towards the bottom of the menu box you will see "Properties". Click on "Properties". This will open another small window where the size information is located at.

  • We're at the final step to find out the file size of your picture. In this window you will find "Size", (NOT "Size on disk"). This is the size in KB's or MB's than it will show the "Bytes". As what it says in the caption box that this file is too large to send to us. To reduce the file size, you'll need a paint program or graphic program that has the capability of changing file size assignments.
